Well done to all those who competed during our 2009 Season!

We had a fantastic year with a huge amount of new competitors as well as some familiar faces. Each show ran smoothly with a great energy level and our continuous friendly atmosphere. 

We look forward to seeing you all again in the new season.

Forthcoming Events



Our next event is on the 10th of January 2010 and will be held at Plumpton College.

There are 2 Indoor schools so we will be protected from the winter weather!  You can download a schedule from our events / schedule page.  There are classes for all, so please come along.

Welcome to Oakwood Park Showground

 

 

 Welcome Back! "Are you ready for the 2010 season?"

We are and we are looking forward to seeing you.

Oakwood Park is continueing to promote the Grass Roots of British Equestrianism, but still remaining with our fun and friendly atmosphere, offering help and support to all our competitors both on the day, via emails and training sessions.

We are contiuning to raise funds for the Ashdown Forest RDA, which is a group that we have set up for the children in our area.
Last year we raised over £384.50 which is fantastic, so thank you for making so many people smile!  We are currently collecting new and used riding clothes, mainly jodphurs and boots, so any donatations will be greatly recieved. 

Running throughout the season we are going to offer training sessions for both you and you horse or pony.  These will be split into sections including Lead Rein, Ridden, workers, Show Jumping and In Hand.  We would like to know how many of you would be interested, so please feel free to email your interest and the section you would like to do, to ali@ops.org.uk.

We would like your imput into some of our shows. We want you to let us know what classes you would like to see at Oakwood Park.  Simply find the box labelled "Your Ideas", click on this and follow the instructions or contact us via email.




 

 

 

 
Showground Hire

 

Oakwood Park Showground is available for hire. This may be to host an Equestrian Event, a Boot Fair, Sports Day, Camping ground, Fun Fair, Motor show, etc. The list of possibilities is endless. If you require any information regarding hire of the ground then you can contact us via email or phone.
Do not worry if the ground is too large for your individual requirements, we are able to offer smaller areas at reasonable rate, it is always possible to hire a corner of the field on a day that we or other users are holding an event.
Our charges are realistic and we welcome the opportunity to negotiate with you.

Oakwood Park shows will continue to be friendly, professional and confidence building during the 2010 season. Riders of all abilities will be catered for and friendly help and advice is always at hand.

Our aim remains to make attending our shows, fun and educational. During 2010 we will also be hosting a number of shows for other groups; these will include affiliated classes with NPS, Chaps, Equifest and many more. 

We will run clear round jumping at all of our shows, usually in the form of a clear round ring.

We are always looking for helpers to assist with the running of the shows. If you have some free time and fancy a bit of show organising or judging etc then do get in touch.

OPS Training Show and Affiliated Classes!

We are going to carry on with our training shows throughout the season which are aimed at helping you to improve your ring craft technique, understanding and general knowledge of all showing aspects.

We are also running affiliated classes this year which will qualify for CHAPS, NPS Equifest and many more societies.
