Affiliated Classes 2010
This season we are running some affiliated classes. This will not only widen our opportunities for competition, but will also give some of you a new challenge!The classes will run alongside our own shows so if you don't want to affiliate there will still be plenty to do. They will include CHAPS Qualifiers, as well as NPS, Equifest and many more!
We look forwrad to running this new element and hope to see you there!
Lex and the Purle sisters.
Nancy and Helena Purle have been having a great season at Oakwood Park. They both share their pony Lex who has turned out to be a real superstar. Imported from Ireland, he has gone from strength to strength and with his two talented riders, Lex has managed to qualify for a numerous amount of Championship classes already.
Watch out for this fantastic team!
J Cullen and Black Jack
Black Jack is a Registered Sec D stallion. He attended our show on the 10th of August 2008, he competed and won the M+M In Hand Sec.We don't usually allow stallions at Oakwood Park, but Black Jack is incredibly well behaved and is a credit to his dedicated and talented owner and handler, Mr J Cullen.
Black Jack has been with his owner since a foal and is now 15 years old.
He is used for a variety of tasks including breeding, showing, driving, riding and helping pull out Mr Cullens vehicles when they get stuck in the mud!
This is a great example of a horse who is used not only to the best of his ability but correctly for his breed and type. He was an inspiration to us all and we are all very glad to have met him.
Equine Challenge
Our Equine Challenge that was held on the 10th of August was a bit different from anything we have done so far! It challenged competitors to a number of tasks giving people the chance to shine in the areas that they are most talented in!We have had several requests for a second one, which will be going ahead on the 12th of October 2008!

News And Events OPS Training Show and Affiliated Classes! We are going to carry on with our training shows throughout the season which are aimed at helping you to improve your ring craft technique, understanding and general knowledge of all showing aspects.
